Simone - Simone (1991)

Simone is a singer dedicated to the romantic repertoire. She has a broad fan base who would find in this album the usual Simone: a good choice of repertoire and composers, some mellifluous hits such as "Yolanda" (Pablo Milanez/Chico Buarque), the romantic pop instrumental backing with competent keyboards, saxes and guitars, and her herself. A good, light, capable singer who doesn't pretend to be who she isn't (a hot, swinging or intellectual singer), she is embedded firmly in her own romantic niche and doesn't try to complicate things.
