Jack Raymond - The Long Story Short (2024)

From the earthy hillside mountain town of Harrietville, Australia there’s an artist equally as rugged emerging onto the scene by the name Jack Raymond. Raymond’s voice packs a seriously raw and powerful punch. Unrefined and gritty and speaking a truth told only from the corner of whiskey bars at 2am, the soul to song barrier is near non-existent. It’s a beautiful thing. Drawing influences from yesteryears aged storytellers, Tom Waits and John Fogerty, Raymond’s songs are honest and eclectic but with slightly a bit more optimism.

Raymond is set to release his debut Album “ The Long Story Short” in early 2024. Raymond’s soul is left bare from expression throughout his songwriting and this album is a true reflection of this sentiment. Following a successful tour spanning across QLD, NSW & VIC, Jack Raymond has been preparing relentlessly for 'The Long Story Short”to enter the world. Hauling inspiration from bands like Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard, the album is set to put a stamp on the Australian music scene with its story’s and reflections. Jack Raymond has many notable festivals under his belt, including slots at Kiama Blues Festival, The Gympie Muster,Buskers By The Lake. In late 2022, Jack went on to become a finalist in the Australian Busking Championships and supporting touring acts, Riley Pearce,Hatz Fitz & Cara , Darren Hanlon, Ben Smith Band, Fat Picnic, Those Folk, Benny Williams, The Long Johns... to name a few.
