Frédéric Lodéon is not a journalist who talks about music, but a musician who for more than twenty-five years now has devoted his cheerful nature, his knowledge and his energy to helping others to share his passion for music on France Inter, nowadays on France Musique, and also at the Victoires de la Musique!

‘I just love being at the microphone and helping people to enjoy music. If you wanted to sum up my life, you might say that music and words are the two things that have mattered most to me. I talk about composers as if they were friends of mine.’

Frédéric Lodéon, Radio France and Alpha Classics have joined forces to produce this set, conceived as a memory box, which brings together all his Desert Island pieces, his pantheon, recorded by the greatest artists, including Jascha Heifetz, Martha Argerich, Mstislav Rostropovich, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Georges Prêtre, Herbert von Karajan, José Van Dam, Maria Callas, Jonas Kaufmann, Philippe Jaroussky, the Amadeus Quartet, the Beaux Arts Trio and the Belcea Quartet.

A set of four discs classified by genre: instrumental soloists, chamber music, orchestral music, vocal music.
