Fawn Fritzen is a multilingual singer and songwriter from Whitehorse, Yukon. She embodies Canada’s diversity with her mixed cultural roots of Chinese, French, and German. She has lived and performed all over the country, including all three of Canada’s northern territories.

Fawn has been named by Tim Tamashiro (host of CBC Radio's national jazz program Tonic) as “one of Canada’s top swingers” and is the winner of the 2014 Julian Award of Excellence for Emerging Jazz Artists. Audiences are drawn to the warmth of Fawn’s voice and stage presence, while fellow musicians appreciate her love for jazz tradition, while drawing in elements of roots, gospel, and pop.

Fawn’s debut album, Bedroom Voice, was released in 2013 and garnered warm reviews from critics such as Brent Black (Critical Jazz) and Peter Hum (Ottawa Citizen). Her second album, Pairings (to be released April 2016), is an ambitious collection of vocal + instrument duets. It gathers some of the best talent in Canadian jazz as collaborators, including George Koller, Reg Schwager, Karl Schwonik, David Restivo, and Kelly Jefferson.
