Axel Omarson (Lead Vocals and guitar) moved from his native Iceland to the United States at a young age, where he lived into his young adult years in Oklahoma and Texas. Axel fell for the charm of Country Music and took that interest back with him when he moved back to his native Iceland. In Iceland Axel started to work with various musicians who share a love for Country Music. This lead to the founding of Axel O & Co in 2015. Magnus Kjartansson (Keyboard player) is one of the better known professional Musicians in Iceland. Magnus grew up in the town of Keflavik, Iceland, where the US Navy had a base for many years. Growing up in Keflavik, Magnus listened to American Forces Radio and learned to appreciate Country Music early on. Magnus played in many Country bands in Iceland in recent years such as Brimklo and Slettuulfarnir. Sigurgeir Sigmundsson (Guitars and Pedal Steel) is a well known professional musician in Iceland and the Nordic countries. Sigurgeir started at an early age in Rock bands in Iceland, but as time went on he started to appreciate Country Music and fell for the lure of the Pedal Steel guitar. Sigurgeir has played in a number of Country bands in the nordic countries in recent years such as Klaufar in Iceland and Big River Band in Norway. Johann Asmundsson (Bass) started his career as a professional musician with the Icelandic Jazz band Mezzoforte. Mezzoforte was very successful and had International hits in the 80's such as "Garden Party". Johann has over the years learned to appreciate Country Music and the discipline that Nashville Country musicians are famous for. Fusi Ottarsson (Drums) started to play drums in his teens and has played with a number of bands through the years. Fusi lived in Los Angeles for some years, and has has a successful career as a professional musician and session player.
