i never much liked the place i grew up in. however, a short distance away from my house is a twelve-hundred-acre reserve that redeems it. this record, a sort of concept, simulates a journey through the outskirts - the cutting edges - of my home county. if Norfolk Serpent was about using that in a search for my roots, this record instead begins at any point within me and recenters at any other. this is my folk music for rhizomes - for the flowing Broads.
