The Araxes river flows through Armenia, Georgia and Turkey, and provides the inspirational backdrop for the AGA Trio, who continue their quest of re-interpreting the musical histories and shared connections of these lands. The A.G.A Trio continue their exploration into the ancient histories of the South Caucasus and Anatolia, with this album which brings together the haunting melodies of Armenia, the lively folk tunes of Georgia, and the rhythmic pulse of Anatolia. The distinctive voices of the kaval, duduk and accordion, create an enchanting and harmonious union of the trios respective traditions. 'Araxes' is the highly anticipated follow-up to their widely acclaimed debut album Meeting from 2020. Hailing from Armenia, Georgia and Turkey - Arsen Petrosyan, M?ka?l Yakut and Deniz Mahir Kartal - draw from their rich musical backgrounds to create a beautiful selection of original compositions. The songs range from celebratory tales of wild horses and an unexpected wedding to heartfelt tributes for loved ones and the oppressed.
