Tomáš Köppl - Piano 0 (2024) Hi Res

Tomáš Köppl (1993) belongs to the youngest generation of Slovak conductors. As a professional artist, he combines projects of different stylistic focus. He is a graduate of orchestral conducting at VŠMU (M. Lejava) and a former student of composition and conducting at the Bratislava Conservatory (S. Hochel, J. Karaba).

Since 2019, he has held the position of conductor in the Harmónia Youth Orchestra. He collaborated with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Slovak Symphony Orchestra, Capella Istropolitana, Komorná opera Bratislava, the VŠMU Symphony Orchestra, the Dianopolis Chamber Orchestra (Bulgaria) and the orchestras of the Bratislava Conservatory. He completed conducting courses with Lior Shambadal, Jorma Panula, Štefan Sedlický and George Pehlivanian. He collaborated with artists such as Cigánski Diabli, Mojzes Quartet, Mucha Quartet, Ľudové Mladistvá, Miloš Biháry, Filip Jančík, Zuzana Hrvoľová and others.

Tomáš is also a popular pianist and composer. Creates music for documentaries, radio and GPS games. He teaches piano at the ZUŠ and tutored classical dance classes at the Dušan Nebyla Conservatory in Trnava. He works in several projects playing popular and jazz music. In 2019, he recorded the album Lessons Learned with the Impaco Trio lineup. In 2023, he also completed his studies of International Management at FMUK with his rigorous exam with the title of PhDr.
