"Having (temporarily) given up the role of composer, Mazzarino chose a tracklist that revisits some compositions from the great classics of the jazz repertoire in a melancholic and refined key, with compositions by Horace Silver, Duke Ellington, Chico Buarque de Holland, Irving Berlin and others.
The album is a poetic journey through the history of jazz with minimal arrangements, moderate tempos, the elevation of a sober aesthetic in which every note is important and describes a world created in a whisper.
The finale of "Do You Know What It Me To Miss New Orleans", a wonderful dialogue between trumpet and piano, is a symbol of the entire record, I must say that all the compositions are exciting, but if we had to choose one, we would choose (especially) an intriguing version of "Oh Que Sera" with a solo with excellent taste and synthesis of the leader.
The record expresses Mazzarino's poetic flair well, while at the same time paying tribute to a series of compositions that have been the most popular over the past hundred years."
