Timo Kahilainen - Just in Time (2024) [Hi-Res]

Mm. Led by Timo Kahilainen from kummeli, Just in time celebrates the completion of their first album. In addition to kahilainen, the band's soloists are Suvi Karjula and Gilbert Kuppusami. The English-language album draws heavily on old dance music from the new continent, grins Kahilainen. In addition to Soul/funk elements, relaxed Yacht Rock has a strong presence in the songs written by Kahilainen and written together with the soloists. Besides Kahilainen, who produces Fender Rhodes electric piano, Hammond organ and Moog sounds, Tuukka Ojala takes the stage. Timo Timonen plays guitar, Mikko Löytty on bass and Joonas Nieminen on drums. So it's going to be a nice, tight night.

"Suvi Karjula and Gilbert Kuppusami gave me the fire and the enthusiasm to make this album. I went back to where my interest in music started, i.e. to the music scenes of the late 70s. I think it took more than a year to do that, but now it's ready, Just in time,” says Timo Kahilainen.
