One Way & Alicia Myers - Back To Back (1998)

For this installment of MCA Special Products Back to Back, One Way is teamed with Alicia Myers -- not a bad pairing, since Myers used to front One Way and neither act had too many big hits. One Way did have a lot of hits, but they only occasionally pushed their way into the R&B Top Ten, and most of those incidents -- "Push," "Cutie Pie," "Lady You Are" -- are here, along with the lesser hits "Who's Foolin' Who" and "My Lady." Myers has all three of her charting hits -- "I Want to Thank You," "You Get the Best From Me (Say, Say, Say)," "Appreciation" -- plus two other album cuts. The ultimate result is an entertaining collection of early-'80s pop-dance-soul that will be of interest to budget-minded casual fans of the group.
