With "Seigneur", Roberto Alagna delivers an album imbued with spirituality. Between faith, love and hope, the tenor pays a highly personal tribute to the immense cathedral of lyric art to which he regularly adds his stone.

Born of a desire for sharing and communion, extending a tour specially designed for churches and cathedrals, the recording presents a particularly original repertoire: mixing religious pieces with a selection of French and Italian songs of sacred inspiration, it combines music full of feeling, emotion and vitality. Through songs that speak to the soul - from Schubert's and Bach-Gounod's Ave Maria to the traditional "Fenesta che luciva" and "Bella Ciao", from Léo Ferré's "Avec le temps" to "La Valse de l'Espérance", not forgetting landmark recreations such as "Seigneur, ne me laisse pas" and "Madone au cœur d'or" - Roberto Alagna reveals himself and transports us.

"Seigneur" is also the album of an artistic connection, where all the spontaneity of the passionate trio formed by Roberto Alagna and his two accomplices, guitarist and songwriter Jean-Félix Lalanne and pianist Marek Ruszczyński, shines through. With palpable joy, the three are back in the studio but recording entirely under live conditions. In all simplicity, they deliver a concentration of emotions and commune with beauty.
