MacroScream - Macrophonix (2024)

Ci siamo!
Dopo “Sisyphus” (2012) e “Macroscream” (2016), la band consolida il suo stile dando alla luce il terzo album registrato e missato a Roma tra maggio e settembre 2023.
La formazione ha subito numerosi avvicendamenti che hanno contribuito a dare un sound più diretto e meno sinfonico rispetto ai lavori precedenti.
Le mini-suite che caratterizzavano i primi 2 dischi lasciano il passo a brani più sintetici, conservando tuttavia quegli elementi distintivi in cui i Macroscream hanno sempre immerso la loro musica.
La matrice progressive anni ’70, nella sua pura accezione, si mescola ad altri generi confezionando un cocktail ricco e complesso, ma del quale si riescono a distinguere i sapori senza difficoltà.
Capitanati da Alessandro Patierno (fondatore, bassista e compositore di tutti i brani) e confermato alle tastiere Davide Cirone, la nuova line-up ha visto l’ingresso nel 2020 di Daniele Pulcini alla chitarra elettrica, Giacomo Liò alla batteria e Giovanni Saulini alla voce solista.
Un’inquietante “Medusa” con gli occhi di ghiaccio e un “connettore jack” per capello -immortalata in copertina- accoglie l’ascoltatore nel suo antro, accompagnandolo nel viaggio fino all’uscita: una sorta di stargate verso una nuova dimensione.
Insomma, ci sono tutti gli ingredienti per vivere una nuova esperienza sonora targata Macroscream.


After “Sisyphus” (2012) and “Macroscream” (2016), the band consolidates its style by giving birth to the third album recorded and mixed in Rome between May and September 2023.
The lineup has undergone numerous changes which have contributed to giving a more direct and less symphonic sound compared to previous works.

The mini-suites that characterized the first 2 albums give way to more synthetic songs, while retaining those distinctive elements in which Macroscream have always immersed their music.

The progressive matrix of the 70s, in its pure sense, mixes with other genres creating a rich and complex cocktail, but whose flavors can be distinguished without difficulty.

Led by Alessandro Patierno (founder, bassist and composer of all the songs) and Davide Cirone confirmed on keyboards, the new line-up saw the entry in 2020 of Daniele Pulcini on electric guitar, Giacomo Liò on drums and Giovanni Saulini on vocals soloist.

A disturbing "Medusa" with icy eyes and a "jack connector" for hair - immortalized on the cover - welcomes the listener into her cave, accompanying him on the journey to the exit: a sort of stargate towards a new dimension.< p> In short, all the ingredients are there to enjoy a new Macroscream sound experience.
