Andrea Dulbecco is considered one of the most significant musical people on the Italian and European jazz scene over the last few years and he actually represents a great international expression of one of the most important instruments of jazz history: the vibraphone. He graduated with honours from the “Giuseppe Verdi” conservatory of Milan and at once earned renown as a big talent. He was in great demand for his uncommon qualities, collaborating together with international artists such as E. Rava, P. Fresu, Dado Moroni, P. Favre, P. McCandless, B. Elgart and many others.
This recording represents his well-meditated discographic debut as a leader. To make it, he chose two musicians with whom he has a great musical feeling and understanding. This CD includes original songs showing his extraordinary artistic value as a composer, absolute control of the instrument, great versatility, improvising qualities and an incomparable elegant and catching style. His musical phrases are always well-balanced and at the same time deeply quivering.
