Among the huge number of German bands of the 70s, NINE DAYS WONDER occupies a privileged position. On the one hand, they started out like most bands of that time: with a tough, uncompromising version of heavy prog with a strong influence of psychedelia. On the other hand, towards the end of their career they almost came to glam rock and pop rock. But at each stage of their career, the musicians, led by Walter Seyffer, professed an honest approach to their work. They didn't want to be "one-hit wonders." The manner of performance was sometimes reminiscent of Peter Hammill himself, and one couldn’t ask for a better compliment.
