Quintetto Ghirardini - LentoAndare (2024) Hi-Res

Drummer Ermes Ghirardini brings together four of the most representative musicians on the Friulian scene. He has chosen collaborators who, like himself, love to frequent different musical fields, Jazz, improvised music, music written to accompany images or theater or dance, Balkan music, song form and more.

The repertoire that the quintet proposes has exactly this peculiarity, what it expresses does not refer to a precise area but embodies all of Ghirardini's experiences often shared with his traveling companions involved in this project.

The songs are some old ideas that remained unfinished, songs that were part of projects already completed, but rethought for this band, songs written specifically for this new adventure and a revisitation of Claudio Monteverdi's "Lamento della Ninfa".
