The Jazz Quartet 2in2out was founded by saxophonist Nela Dusová and guitarist Jan Lacina, who are also authors of the modern jazz repertoire of the band. The Duo invited drummer Adam Sikora and Slovak double bassist Peter Korman to collaborate. In recent years, 2in2out has managed to develop from an original student project into one of the most interesting Czech jazz acts.
In 2024, the quartet will make their debut with the title Living Stories. The Album was produced in collaboration with long-time bandmates, double bassist Klára Pudláková and drummer Adam Sikora. Living Stories presents a view of the world through the eyes of two jazz artists and authors with different aesthetic approaches, yet is unified in its musical narrative.
"I especially appreciate original ideas, interesting formal solutions and content overlap in 2in2out compositions, which is far from always a matter of course in modern jazz today, and I would venture to say that it is often rather lacking."David Dorůžka, leading Czech guitarist and educator
