Indie-pop musician Piney Gir is gearing up for the American release of mR. hYDE'S wILD rIDE, an album that finds the UK-based singer exploring everything from psychedelic pop to British folk to '90s grunge. With a little help from friends like Stereolab drummer Andy Ramsey, and members of Gaz Coombes and Emiliana Torrini, adding shimmering keyboards, distorted guitars, chirping harmonies and even marimba resulting in a record that sounds both retro and futuristic, taking the listeners on a wild ride over the course of 12 songs.
