Filt - Maximal Minimalism (2024) [Hi-Res]

FILT is the instrumental music project of Ark keyboardist/producer Jens Andersson. On their new album "Maximal minimalism", FILT invites the listener into a musical realm where electronic soundscapes, acoustic waves and catchy melodies are woven into an enchanting blend. The cover photo was taken by photographer Peter Westrup and the subject was a Cullaberg stone, photographed through a microscope so that we see the aristals in the stone.
The debut album "Over frusen van", released in 2022, was very well received and named one of the best albums of the year by Sonic Magazine.
On the new album, synthesizers and electronics take up more space, but acoustics are always present as a counterpoint. Flute, saxophone, strings, guitar, drums and double bass contrast with the electronics throughout the disk.
