This set by the pianist/composer Klaus Ignatzek puts the focus on a group very close to his heart - a band of friends that has existed for more than five years and teams up with every autumn for a happy but hectic five week tour of European venues. It is an exciting quintet with members drawn from many countries and featuring the twin trumpet power of Brazilian Claudio Roditi and Argentinian Gustavo Bergalli. Jean Louise Rassinfosse has been an associate of Klaus since '88 and they have made 10 albums together while Spanish Drummer Jorge Rossy suits the band's gregarious, outgoing approach to perfection.
