What we have here is the first-ever compilation from Balearic veteran Pete Herbert's Music For Swimming Pools label, featuring a blend of previously released favourites and brand new material. Apart from Herbert himself Max Essa, Coyote and D.S.D are some of the better-known names on offer, which should in itself give you a pretty good idea what the album's going to sound like... and sure enough, it's a collection that's long on mellifluous grooves, gently rolling beats and hints here and there of tropical, Latin and Afro flavours, seldom moving much beyond walking pace, though cuts from Marius and Coyote do nudge the BPM into a more floor-friendly zone before Essa and Herbert close out proceedings in blissed-out fashion.
