THOSE WHO RIDE WITH GIANTS is the pseudonym of MJ Callaghan, a musician and designer musician based in Sydney, Australia.

Specialising in instrumental cinematic rock, MJ’s artistic vision draws influence from acclaimed artists such as Caspian, This Will Destroy You, Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, and countless film and game composers.

At the heart of the project lies a commitment to narrative storytelling through music. Each album unfolds as a thematic journey through a mythical and metaphoric realm inhabited by towering beings, where the listener accompanies a traveler through a series of chapters represented by each track title.

In 2024, THOSE WHO RIDE WITH GIANTS achieved a significant milestone with the release of the feature film “RIDE,” for which MJ Callaghan scored and performed the entire soundtrack under the project’s banner.
