Jerskin Fendrix - Kinds of Kindness (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2024) [Hi-Res]

In collaboration with Milan Records, Waxwork Records releases "Kinds Of Kindness (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)" featuring music by multi-instrumentalist, producer and Oscar®-nominated composer Jerskin Fendrix. The album marks a reunion between Fendrix and director Yorgos Lanthimos following the resounding success of "Poor Things", which earned the composer an Oscar® nomination and marked Lanthimos' first ever collaboration with a composer.

For "Kinds Of Kindness", Fendrix has created a world of sound rooted in solo piano and choral music, littering the 22-track collection with hymns Peppered with hymns. The soundtrack album is rounded off with pop songs such as "Brand New Bitch" by Cobrah and "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by the Eurythmics, both of which were featured in the trailers for the film, as well as a cover of "How Deep Is Your Love" by film star Margaret Qualley and a demo from Fendrix's personal discography.

Similar to Poor Things, Fendrix began work on Kinds of Kindness with relatively little material, using only the film's script, black-and-white photos from the set and conversations with Lanthimos as a guide. This time, however, Lanthimos gave Fendrix specific instructions on orchestration, instructing the composer to create a soundscape rooted in piano and choral music. "Kinds Of Kindness" is a three-part fable about a man who has no choice and tries to take his life into his own hands; about a policeman who is disturbed that his wife, missing at sea, has returned and seems to be a different person; and about a woman who is determined to find a certain person with a special ability who is destined to become an outstanding spiritual leader.
