Led by Dead Moon's Fred Cole and Toody, Pierced Arrows blaze across the wreckage of '70s garage rock on 2008's 'Straight to the Heart' - one for fans of The Cramps, The Stooges, The White Stripes etc.

Since the '70s, Fred Cole and his wife Kathleen Alice Cole (better known as Toody) have been churning out factory strength garage punk in various incarnations. They're best known for their iconic Dead Moon material, but there's also The Rats (and Range Rats), The Desperate Edge, The Western Front and Fred & Toody. 'Straight to the Heart' doesn't deviate from the basic template, instead showing that if you put Cole and Toody in front of a drummer for a few hours, they're likely to come out with a full set of three minute stompers. Everything you could want from a good garage record is here: tinny, punky drums, howled carnivalesque two-part choruses and chugging, off-key riffs.
