Roberto Pianca - III (2024) [Hi-Res]

Born 1984, guitarist/composer Roberto Pianca studied music at the Amsterdam Conservatory (NL). He has played and worked with a variety of notable artists including Joey Baron, Russ Lossing, John O’Gallagher, Mark Ferber, Johannes Weidenmüller, Thomas Morgan, Sienna Dahlen, Franco Ambrosetti, Dado Moroni, Pietro Tonolo, Jesse Van Ruller, Nils Wogram and Savina Yannatou a.o. Beside performing internationally with his own groups and other different projects, in 2008 he founded Third Reel, a collaboration with saxophonist Nicolas Masson and drummer Emanuele Maniscalco (the band joined prestigious and legendary german label ECM’s catalogue in 2013). Pianca played venues and festivals in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Kosovo, USA and Canada. Festivals such as Willisau, Schaffhausen, BeJazz Sommer Bern, Chiasso, Clusone, Enjoy Jazz Festival Heidelberg/Mannheim, Jazz Im Goethe Garten Lisbon, AMR Jazz Festival Geneva, Empoli, Jazz In Eden Brescia, Sile Jazz and others. He appears on several albums as a sideman and has released four as a leader (Sub Rosa - WideEar Records 2017, Mono No Aware - Honolulu Records 2021, Fossils - Honolulu Records 2023 and III - Honolulu Records 2024)
