Chronos - Caucasus Live (2024)

Mystic Sound Records proudly presents the new album by Chronos, «Caucasus Live,» marking the 20th anniversary of the project. It’s hard to believe, but 20 years have passed since Chronos’ first release! Over this time, hundreds of live performances in some of the world’s most beautiful locations have inspired the creation of 25 albums.

One such inspiring place is the Bermamyt Plateau in the Caucasus, often referred to as the Russian Grand Canyon. In this magical location, time seems to stop, and one feels like a mere grain of sand in the vast universe. While living in southern Russia, Nick collaborated with talented musicians Masha Sensei (vocals) and Niklassic (hangdrum, percussion), and invited gifted guitarist Eldar Mehraliev to recreate the sequel to the album «Caucasus» — «Caucasus Live.»

The concept of the album captures how a full-fledged band would perform it live. With new arrangements, live instrument parts, and unexpected musical elements, it achieves a perfect symbiosis of electronic music and acoustic instruments. The album conveys a sense of boundless space, divine landscapes, and powerful sampled drums, all merging into a unified whole.
