Scott Moody has been involved in music for as long as he can remember. Playing guitar and drums in every kind of band imaginable. From Alternative to Country to Bluegrass to R&B he relies heavily on his past influences to craft his songs. Original drummer for Vigilantes of Love, he has played with Conway Twitty, toured with Vern Gosdin, opened for the Spinners and Tams, and backed various other artists thru-out his career. Always writing and recording songs of various styles you can hear elements of the Beatles, Eagles, Delbert McClinton and Lyle Lovett. However, most of the songs on his current CD are country/rock or folk. Deep felt lyrics and an excellent production make this CD stand out. All of the songs were written on acoustic guitar which he plays when recording . He also played the drums. The title of the CD comes from the stories he heard as a child about his great Aunt Lillian. Her picture is the front cover of the CD. Born in Rockingham N.C. around the turn of the century. She was a wild woman during the roaring twenties. Highly educated and a great musician she became addicted to morphine somewhere along the way. On Saturday nights she used to put on her Sunday dress and walk 4 miles to Rockingham to party all night returning home by the same route before dawn. This song is dedicated to her.
