Sølvguttene - Sølvguttenes favoritter (2016) [Hi-Res]

Most Norwegians associate Sølvguttene primarily with Christmas, which is not surprising since they have been singing Christmas carols marking the beginning of Christmas since the 1960s.However, they are active all year round. When they toured Western Norway in the late summer of 2015, it would have been untimely to sing Christmas carols, as during other tours in the USA and Rome in the spring of 2016.
Any choir working throughout the year should have a wide repertoire, well suited for any season and occasion. Since they have about 150 performances throughout the year, covering weddings and funerals, receptions and masses, long concerts and short numbers, their repertoire ranges from works from the early Middle Ages to modern works by Norwegian and foreign composers, both spiritual and secular.
The CD contains a wonderful selection of popular and lesser-known choral works performed by this magnificent young choir.
