Wyrd folk duo We Are Muffy formed in Cornwall around 2017, coalescing around Angeline Morrison's saccharine vocals and Nick Duffy's rich baritone and earthy guitar. Lost Things Returning continues their modern revival of hauntology influenced indie folk, benefiting from sparse arrangements and production.
Following on from their well received 2018 album “The Charcoal Pool” and their own highly successful individual musical journeys since then, We Are Muffy are back with a new alt.folk classic on Country Mile Records - “Lost Things Returning”!
Nick Duffy (The Lilac Time, Bait) and Angeline Morrison (The Sorrow Songs, The Mighty Sceptres, The Ambassadors of Sorrow) have created yet another stunning and enchanting collection of twisted modern acoustic folk songs that beautifully meld Angeline’s lush vocals with Nicks baritone delivery.
The duo’s use of fiddle, recorders, double bass and a variety of ancient acoustic instruments could at times convince the listener they were listening to an alternative soundtrack to “The Wicker Man” film!
