Phaedra Kwant - Hearts and Things (2024) [Hi-Res]

Faedra Quant plays bass guitar and double bass, sings, writes lyrics and composes. She studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and in 2004 officially became the first female bass master in the Netherlands.
Phaedra is a true musical chameleon, she works in the highest reaches of the Dutch jazz, pop and theater scene, enjoying a diverse performance of all kinds of music.
She leads her own jazz band “Phaedra” and played in the pop trio “McChicks” for 10 years. Both projects have received fantastic reviews in numerous newspapers and magazines as well as on Dutch radio and television.
Since 2022 she has been touring with the energetic jazz/groove band “HOTSPOT!” of bandleader Erik Vloijmans, performing original music by all band members.
To date, she has released two jazz solo albums, Too Much In Store (2009) and Still Listening (2013) [listen on Spotify]. In December 2020, she released the Dutch single “Anders Wordt Het Koud”. Another Dutch single “Ik Hoorde Haar Zingen” followed in March 2024.
2024 will see the release of her new solo album “Hearts And Things” as well as her first live album HOTSPOT.
