“It would be ideal to be normal again.” But Magalí Datzira, per sort of tots, is not yet. It is many with fish in the water in the abnormality of writing some songs that are trossets of life, fish guts of a diet, reflections that so aviat touch from peus to terra with their cap to the nuvols. All the dissonances between the earthly and the spiritual flow in this music, in its exceptional performance according to the album “La salut i la bellesa”.

Posem-hi context: Magalí Datzira is a young double bass player, singer and composer from Barcelona. With extensive experience on stage (she has performed with Andrea Motis, Rita Payés, Christina Rosenvinge...), her personal purpose is part of jazz but is transversal. It is a wide window of influences that ranges from funk to electronic pop, from the most intimate and Mediterranean sounds to urban rhythms. A musical universe that crystallizes from ple to adding an urgent and contemporary lyrical vision.

After presenting his first solo album, “Des de la cuina” (2023), he now returns with “La salut i la beauty”. An album on, from the most intimate experience, Magalí speaks of building-up to re-completion. Sad talk. Of paranoies and daily abysses. Talk about the different states of love. But above all, to care, to take care of oneself and to be cared for. I de l’amistat com a clau de volta vital en aquest món ultraconnectat. She said that it is a blue disc, the blue of the Mediterranean: a warm blue, worth the oxymoron.

In this new adventure, Magalí Datzira is accompanied by Vernat (guitars and vocals), David Gimeno (drums), Toni Mora (piano and keyboards) and Iscle Datzira (saxes). The album, recorded practically during Muntanya Casafont's studio, also included vocal cameos by Mr. J. Medeiros (“La salut i la beauty”) and Marco Castello (“Merèixer”) and various songs performed on a basis of cords. The mixes are by Adrià Serrano and the mastering by Raphael Jonin, with production by Magalí herself.
