Sixth album by the Bavarian anarchic brass band as a limited vinyl edition on Gutfeeling! After a six-year break, “Ins Freie”, the sixth album by G.Rag & Die Landlergschwister, is finally being released - and it promises to open up musical boundaries. On this album, the probably most unconventional brass band spans a wide arc: From Bavaria out into the world, to Latin America, Ethiopia, Cologne, Canada, Japan and beyond. In their usual style, the band mixes Bavarian brass band music with surprising versions of artists such as Mulatu Astatke, Feist, The Cure and Can. What at first glance appears to be an unlikely combination, G.Rag & Die Landlergschwister combine to create a unique blend that brings together the most diverse cultures and musical styles. Members of the sister band G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos as well as musicians from the southern German music scene - including The Notwist - enrich the album with their creative diversity. “Ins Freie” is not only a musical program, but also a tribute to freedom and new beginnings. The album will be released as a limited vinyl edition (320 copies) and comes with screen-printed cover artwork (as always) on Gutfeelimg!
