Mayako Sone, one of Japan's leading harpsichordists, created this ambitious new fandango in 2002, the 10th anniversary of her CD debut, while looking back on her shocking encounter with the late Scott Ross's Sorel fandango. You can enjoy the wonderful rhythm and Spanish passion and melancholy. Sone's version of the fandango is "as technically virtuoso as it gets," but the performance is so refreshing that you forget it's technically virtuoso.
