Tamayo Ikeda is active in France. Her 2022 disc of Schubert songs arranged by Liszt was also highly praised (KKC-4333). This new release is a collection of Chopin and Faure's Nocturnes. It is said that this recording was inspired by the book "Nocturne" by French philosopher Jankélévitch. In his book, Jankélévitch contrasts Chopin's Nocturne as "embracing the deep pain experienced in the solitude of the night," with Faure's Nocturne as "reminiscent of a dark night but promising a golden sun." The world she weaves from the idea of ​​"night," which is filled with kindness and hope, is rich and full of fragrant fragrance. In addition, the sound of the 1905 Pleyel, which she plays lovingly, envelops the night world she depicts with even more exquisite colors and atmosphere.
