Simon Chesterfield - Simon Chesterfield (2024)

Simon Chesterfield's first solo album is an orchestral reimagining of six of his own compositions. The album was co-produced by Ben Scott Turner, Rob Ellis and Chesterfield himself. Charles Harrison was responsible for the orchestration. The project included an ensemble of Wessex musicians, including some who had already performed at Chesterfield's concerts. The album was launched at a party at the Lyric Theatre in Bridport, Dorset, on October 11, where the artists performed tracks from the record. The ensemble included Joe Atkinson, Matt Barge, Jenny Bliss, Simon Chesterfield, Rob Ellis, Charles Harrison, Emma Kingston, Seiko Nemoto, Nick Squires, Helen Stickland, James Thornton and Ben Scott Turner. A music video for the song “Something” was also released.
