The album "Abu Kenda" (Kenda’s Father), through which Abdulfattah expresses his determination and consistency in his instrumental music work, began with several releases. The first of these was "Qarar,"(2014) from his joint album with the Awan Quartet, followed by "Jawa" (2016), "Monologue" (2021), and finally his EP "From Here" (2022).
Through his most recent album “Abu Kenda '' Akram reflects a contrast of emotions, blending hope and pain, Joy and sorrow. The music explores the concept of birth in both its literal and figurative senses. Amidst the backdrop of war's devastation and loss.
Abu Kenda blends elements of traditional Palestinian and Arab Classical music showcasing virtuoso violin skillset, drawing inspiration from his deep-rooted Arabic music culture. The album also draws sonic influences from other music genres such as: Jazz, Rock and Funk. Abdulfattah’s music, originating from the heart of the Galilee mountains, embarks on an organic journey to the wider world, carrying with it a message of peace and a call for freedom and justice. Inspired by the greatest such as Mohammed Abdel Wahab, Akram strives to further develop and enrich the instrumental music scene in the Arab world, all while upholding the highest artistic and humanitarian values.
Despite the scarcity of resources for Palestinian Artists , Akram perseveres in creating and curating his independent musical productions, whether in recorded or live formats. He has established himself as one of the pioneering Arab violinists/instrumentalists specializing in production and showcasing their music independently and freely on the world's most prestigious stages. His latest offering, the album “Live Performance in Cambridge” (2024), stands as a testament to his commitment.
