Moonshine, Fédération Internationale du Bruit - Noir Fever Présente Moonshine & La Fédération Internationale du Bruit (2024) [Hi-Res]

San Farafina worked on this recent album from Moonshine Collective in collaboration with UK label Noir Fever—which foregrounds Black and queer voices in dance music—and supergroup collaboration La Fédération Internationale du Bruit. To explain the latter, San Farafina talks about the African or Haitian slang use of bruit (noise) in Québec. Bruit there means chaos, partying, noise everywhere, something major happening. “Je suis gone dans le bruit” (I’m lost in the noise) is a way to say that you can’t talk because you’re surrounded by music and parties—that you’re too busy living to talk on the phone.
