Lounge singer Richard Cheese returns with his 28th studio album - this time a collection of serious, melancholy saloon song ballads in the style of a classic Frank Sinatra Capitol Records concept album. These 12 all-new 2024 recordings feature wistful piano accompaniment, rich orchestrations, and Cheese's sincere, heartfelt voice performing covers of songs like Radiohead's "Lucky," The Offspring's "Self Esteem," R.E.M.'s "South Central Rain," Harry Styles' "As It Was," and Lana Del Rey's "The Greatest."

I've taken eleven of my all-time favorite rock songs, by bands like Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots, The Offspring, R.E.M., The Cure, and Lana Del Rey, and performed them as serious, melancholy, saloon song ballads. It's just soft piano, lush strings, and my voice, in the tradition of a 1950's Frank Sinatra Capitol Records concept album.

I've wanted to record this album for twenty years, and now it's finally here. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Do me a favor, PLEASE read the liner notes below before you listen -- and it wouldn't hurt to drink a cocktail or two, too. (Richard Cheese)
