JTC’s co-founder, Jan Cyrka has been active in the music industry since the 1980s, but it is his solo albums that he is perhaps best known for. In Beyond the Common Ground, Spirit and Prickly Pear Jan delivered meaty riffs and killer solos, and announced himself as a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the guitar. Since then, Jan has not only been the driving force behind JTC, but has written music for all manner of production on both the small and big screen. From The Oprah Winfrey Show to Friends, American Idol to I’m Alan Partridge, Jan’s work has been used far and wide. He has also worked with some of the finest players ever to grace the planet including Zakk Wylde, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and the one and only Guthrie Govan. When Jan is not working he is sleeping.
