Emma & Ellika are master musicians known for their vibrant, groove-centered musical interplay rooted in traditional fiddle music. They blend powerful traditional tunes from Dalarna with their own compositions, using fiddles and re-tuned violas for a unique sound rich in blue notes, improvisation, and dance. Influences include masters like Nils Agenmark and Solo Cissokho. Their partnership, which began as teacher-student at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 2000, evolved into a seamless collaboration. They have performed widely in Sweden and the UK, with their debut album Väder featuring guest musicians Anders Löfberg (cello) and Rafael Sida (percussion).
