Bad Astronaut - Untethered (2024) [Hi-Res]

Bad Astronaut was born out of a deep friendship and has always had an air of mystery. Formed by Joey Cape (Lagwagon), Marko DeSantis (Sugarcult) and the late Derrick Plourde, the band created a unique space for themselves outside of their actual musical activities. Their music, characterized by more experimental sounds and elaborate production, stood in contrast to their punk background. Their new album now offers a new perspective on the band's classics. Reworked versions strip the songs down to their core, limiting themselves to cello, piano and vocals to emphasize the raw emotion and songwriting behind each track, making the pieces feel much more intimate.
