The album "Roller Coaster" by Dmitry Baevsky is a unique blend of rare viola sound, captivating repertoire, and outstanding musicians. Recorded in six hours without rehearsals, the album reflects Dmitry’s deep musical connection to New York, despite his Russian roots and life in Paris. He is accompanied on the recording by guitarist Peter Bernstein, bassist David Wong, and drummer Jason Brown. The album features two original compositions and nine tracks with contrasting moods, ranging from Tommy Flanagan's calypso to Ray Charles' blues. The beginning and end of the album are duets between Baevsky and Bernstein, full of elegance and musical synergy.
