donder - De Wonderen (2024) [Hi-Res]

The album De Wonderen by Donder, recorded in the summer of 2023 in the old theatre of KC Nona in Mechelen, returns to the essence of the trio. The recording is characterized by the room's lively acoustics, the use of an upright piano, and unconventional playing techniques. Unlike their previous album, which was based on Flemish music history, De Wonderen is a mix of abstract and melodic material without conceptual limitations, featuring pop covers, whistling, and Norwegian lyrics. The album, set for release on W.E.R.F.-records on November 22nd, illustrates the beauty of everyday wonders and unexpected contrasts.
