Sasha - Da Vinci Genius - The Score (2024) [Hi-Res]

On November 29th, dance music legend Sasha releases the soundtrack for "Da Vinci Genius" on the Night Time Stories label — an immersive exhibition celebrating Leonardo da Vinci’s work. This project blends classical music with Sasha’s signature electronic style, drawing inspiration from composers like Nils Frahm, Jon Hopkins, and Vangelis.

Sasha collaborated with Flora and Fauna Visions (FFV), the show’s designers, and musicians like Dennis White and Barry Jamieson to craft the score. The music complements the exhibition's visuals, where da Vinci’s masterpieces are reimagined using modern technology, such as the Mona Lisa emerging from digital fragments and other iconic works transforming into electronic glitches.

Tracks like "Mosaic" and "Equality" feature soft melodies and emotional depth, while "Into The Metaverse" introduces more familiar electronic sounds. Sasha describes the project as a challenge and an opportunity to reinterpret classical music, blending it with contemporary electronic elements. He calls this one of the most significant works of his career.
