Rich Goldstein, Yahn Frankel, Behn Gillece, Ben Bilello - Into the Blue (2024)

This music curates a spectrum of music crossing decades and continents. Each piece has a unique connection to the Afro-American popular music thread that reaches back to the 1800's. The band’s approach is straight up swinging, bluesy and always soulful. The arrangements were created to exploit the less common timbre of guitar, organ and vibraphone; which I feel opens a special sonic space for the vocal qualities of the guitar to really shine.
