While in her early teens, Anna Maria Alberghetti took New York by storm when she appeared in concert at Carnegie Hall. And this collection of songs gives ample demonstration of why the critics raved. Recorded in the mid-fifties, the talented and engaging young soprano offers a dozen timeless classics, as only she could sing them.

With lush and imaginative arrangements for orchestra conducted by the talented Van Alexander, Anna Maria sings from the established cannon, with compositions from, among others, the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Jimmy McHugh, Walter Donaldson and Jerome Kern.
