Out of the dozens of Hendrix concerts I have, this one is my favorite. Great recording, great playing, some unique moments not heard in any other performances of these songs. The version of "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)" from the second show (D2) is perhaps the definitive performance of this track. He never played it like this before, or after. Compared to the rendition in the first show, I believe the drugs had taken effect. It was originally booted on the old vinyl "Pipe Dream" in pretty average sound. Here it is in pristine quality.
