Beat Mosaic is a captivating collection of 11 tracks featuring the virtuosity of some of Italy's finest soundtrack session musicians of the late 60s – Mario Molino on guitar and Franco Goldani on vibraphone, for instance, as well as three members of the band Marc 4 (Antonello Vannucchi on organ, Maurizio Majorana on bass, and Roberto Podio on drums). Under the pseudonym Max Raffeng, a variety of maestros and musicians associated with the legendary Minstrel label, led by Maria Augusta Bruni and her composer husband Fabio Borgazzi, aka Fabio Fabor, came together to create this exquisite example of Italian cinematic jazz-beat.

The album seamlessly blends diverse influences, from easy listening to psychedelia, blues, swing, and bossa nova. Hammond organ-driven tracks like "California Shake" and "Piper Street" exude a soul-beat groove reminiscent of 60s psychedelic rock, while "Baroque Swing" showcases a more jazz-oriented approach. Latin and bossa nova rhythms infuse tracks like "Good Morning Bossa" and "Free Day Bossa," adding a global flair.
