Antonio Onorato, famous Neapolitan composer and guitarist for decades, as well as representative icon of the Neapolitanazz
It is an album that the famous guitarist, pupil of the immense Pino Daniele, wanted to dedicate to those who feel blood brothers and therefore with a strong belonging: the Native Americans of the Lakota, to whom the Neapolitan composer has always been linked, since his baptism with a name Lakota. In his latest work, in fact, there are many references to the community of the so-called ‘American Indians’. To them, he wanted to dedicate the cover of the work. A beautiful red cover (the flag of the Lakota) with a circle in the center and all around, like sun rays, thin and typical native huts. In short, the red flag of Lakota represents the symbol of the new recording effort of the Neapolitan guitarist-genius.
The work was recorded and mixed at the 'Midi Groove Studios ‘by Giorgio Savarese,’ musician-programmer ‘who for the different musicians of the Neapolitan area, is known by the name’Savarez'. The recording work was produced for the label 'Guitar Angel Music' and the album-anthem ‘Lakota Blues ' was made exclusively by the Neapolitan guitarist and Savarez. Onorato, in the work referred to, used a Gibson Fling The Neapolitan musician, with rock-blues origins, has also dealt with the percussion samplers (percussion samplers). Giorgio Savarese dealt with keyboards, effects, bass and drums. Onorato, in his work, has always used the same phrasing – the one that distinguishes him, for some time now-also in the use of distorted or wind guitar in ‘Lemon Leaves’ Antonio uses very well the phrasing with the Lidia scale, which in Neapolitan would mean ‘A fronn ‘and limone’.
This wonderful album represents the thirtieth work of the "Indio Napoletano" and is a project that the author had already ready ‘in the drawer’. The record, as mentioned, is listened to with great enthusiasm and transmits enormous emotions. When it comes to discovering a new album by Antonio Onorato, you already know that you are going to listen to a valuable work, to be stored and purchased ‘in a closed box’. All this is recorded for the large group of admirers of the ‘onoratiano’sound. His music enchants constantly.
The sounds of Onorato, coming from rock-blues and inspired a lot byimi For Antonio, who also does not disdain classical music, it must be said, this is not the first time that he proposes primordial sounds, bringing them back to life with ancestral and ethnic sounds especially thanks to hisam Amaha G10, better known as ‘breath guitar’: an instrument that – in practice – belongs only to him, being the only musician in the world to use it professionally and with purposes we know: to transmit the soul that is in him, the native soul.
Onorato talks about his new album: "'Lakota Blues' is a mi di of crunched and distorted electric guitars, but also the inevitable breath guitar, which refers to the ancestral and ethnic sounds of the redskins flute". Crunch sound with an electric guitar is a sound typically used in blues or rhythm guitars in rock and hard rock. The crunch sound is used very often in these genres because it is of great use. It's a distorted sound, but it's a distortion more like overdrive, which is, the natural distortion of when you turn up the volume of the amplification to the maximum. In addition, even as overdrive it is still a distortion usually very mild. It is a distortion that will never be found in heaven metal
Onorato continues: "This record comes out of my great passion for the blues and for the Lakota, a great people who are part of the American tribes of the great plains, but at the same time it is a return to the origins because I grew up musically listening to rock and blues. My myths, when I started playing, wereimi "I think Clapton is the greatest blues and rock guitarist of all time.
Antonio Onorato's final work offers us different sensations: the soothing one typical of native American settings to songs that literally see the guitar cry: I think in that case he is playing his American Hamer. In practice, the album is very rich in blues andazz The crunch and distorted electric guitars refer to ethnic sounds (especially the breath guitar) and in some songs you can also hear his passion for Carlos Santana, another artist who Onorato values a lot. His phrasing appears distinctly fluid throughout almost the entire record. It seems sad in’ Sad Blues‘, in’ Guitar Cring This is also a characteristic of something that has become a genre (the Honoratian category). These rock arias that Onorato has always had inside himself and that he proposes, even if with a single song, in all his records.
That Honored is at a further turning point? In truth we do not know yet but in the musical universe, in which Indium seems to have the sense of everything, anything can happen, even that can be able to trace and head towards a path ‘onor Life always has some surprises in store and Honored, with the support of his new life partner, who does not hesitate to call ‘my wife’ has determined a precise point of the path on earth. His partner represents Antonio's new change, 'his real life change'.
