Inner Circle - Everything Is Great (1979)

Inner Circle has a long history and has incorporated many styles into their reggae sound over the years. This album comes from the Jacob Miller era of the band, a time when they were deeply rooted in Rasta culture but also embraced a harder rock edge. "Mary Mary" is a great example of blending harder rock sounds with a driving reggae rhythm. The highlight of the album is, of course, Miller's voice. The band was possibly on the verge of an international breakthrough with this album, but sadly, Miller passed away shortly after its release. This record stands as a remarkable legacy, with songs like "I've Learned My Lesson" being among his best works.
